Beaumont deserves a mayor who gets results - not excuses. For too long, our citizens have suffered with crumbling water and sewer systems while solutions and funding sat unused. As your former mayor and current candidate, I have a proven plan to finally fix Beaumont's infrastructure emergency.
A Record of Action on Infrastructure
During my tenure as mayor from 2021-2023, I made infrastructure our top priority:
Secured 32 million in critical funding with 32 million in critical funding with 29 million dedicated specifically to sewer and drainage improvements
Left $3 million remaining to continue this vital work - money that's been sitting unused under the current administration
Fought for long-term solutions rather than temporary patches
The Current Failure
Under Mayor Roy West and Councilman Feldshau:
75,000 calls to 311 in just the first half of 2024 - with 25% being water/sewer complaints
$25 million in available funds have gone unspent while pipes burst and sewage backs up
No meaningful progress on the infrastructure crisis in nearly two years
This is unacceptable. Our citizens deserve better than a government that ignores their basic needs.
My Plan to Fix Beaumont's Infrastructure
As your next mayor, I will:
EXPEDITE REPAIRS by increasing maintenance staff and improving response times
SPEND THE AVAILABLE FUNDS that are just sitting unused
IMPLEMENT LONG-TERM SOLUTIONS to finally modernize our water and sewer systems
HOLD CITY WORKERS ACCOUNTABLE for timely, quality repairs
CONTINUE SECURING GRANTS to fund additional infrastructure projects
Leadership That Gets Results
The difference is clear:
I delivered $32 million when infrastructure was my priority
The current administration delivered excuses while problems worsened
Beaumont needs a mayor who:
Understands how to get funding
Knows how to spend it effectively
Won't rest until the job is done
The status quo stops when I'm elected. Together, we will:
Fix our broken water and sewer systems
Restore pride in our city
Build a Beaumont that works for everyone
